Am i right?
<diehlpk_mobile[m>
We can discuss about any topic, but not about your proposal
<Abhishek09>
diehlpk_mobile[m is topic related to my project?

As I am familiarizing with HPX I have chosen to compile vairous mini-scripts using CMake - make. Each time I compile my script it takes 2-3 secods for `make` to be completed. What is a suggested way in order for my scripts to be compiled in a straightforward way ? As far as I undrstand Cmake-make are used for large projects that have serious

pendencies. Is `pkg-config` a better solution?

gonidelis: I don't know the specifics of your system, but ninja tends to perform significantly better on systems with slow io
<simbergm>
make is the default on unixy systems, but you can choose ninja with `-GNinja` (assuming you have ninja installed)
<simbergm>
ninja tends to perform better even on fast systems, but it's especially noticeable when io is slow
<gonidelis>
hmm to be honest I have not considered ninja. I 'll give it a try. Thanks! Just one more question: could I use the mailing list in order to address the community for discussion on certain implementation that I think are very interesting to share? I ask because it does not have to do with building-HPX stuff...

<Yorlik>
+1 for Ninja
<gonidelis>
Where could I find instructions for Ninja use with HPX?
<Yorlik>
Just install it and use the -GNinja switch when invoking CMake
<zao>
gonidelis: A few seconds to compile anything seems rather fast :)
<Yorlik>
Just follow the compile-once-per-week-only rule ;)

gonidelis: note that compiling any application that includes hpx headers might take a few seconds minimum
<simbergm>
ninja won't speed up the actual compilation, only all the dependency tracking that goes on around compilation
<gonidelis>
Well I am used to writting simple school projects with like 2-3 headers +2-3 sources and then just `g++` the whole stuff. So that's why spending like 10 seconds on minor scripts seem like a lot time to me. Thank you everyone for your advise

other reasons - need to finish a proposal today
<Yorlik>
Maybe we should delay then
<Yorlik>
Proposals first, I'd say. And I still am reading and pondering stuff.
<hkaiser>
there should be time later today, I'll ping you - ok?
<Yorlik>
Allright
<Yorlik>
Sound good.

Do you rather use `size_t` instead of `int` on HPX development? If yes, why?
