[K-ballo](https://matrix.to/#/@freenode_K-ballo:matrix.org): what's the circular dependency BTW?
<K-ballo>
object-files works fine, I'll have to see how it's handling this

<gnikunj[m]>
hkaiser : yt?
<hkaiser>
hey gnikunj[m]
<hkaiser>
g'morning ;-)
<gnikunj[m]>
Hey! Today's result day. FTXS results should be around the corner ;-)
<hkaiser>
ahh
<hkaiser>
let's hope for the best!
<gnikunj[m]>
Yes!
<hkaiser>
when do you fly?
<gnikunj[m]>
I'll fly again on Oct 6th
<hkaiser>
ok
<hkaiser>
still at home?
<hkaiser>
or sitting in Frankfurt?
<gnikunj[m]>
Yes, pretty much.
<gnikunj[m]>
Not at Frankfurt. I won't be allowed in the US if I live there too long ;-)
<hkaiser>
right
<gnikunj[m]>
Weird us rules
<hkaiser>
gnikunj[m]: would you like to have help with the PR?
<gnikunj[m]>
hkaiser : don't think so. I'll sit down today and get the tests incorporated. I have the base code and cmake setup in place.
<hkaiser>
nice!
<hkaiser>
and thanks!
<gnikunj[m]>
Post that is there anything else you want me to get in?
<gnikunj[m]>
It's pretty much the same code that was previously with resiliency module, now separated.
<hkaiser>
gnikunj[m]: well, let's see how you'll settle in - my guess would be that you won't have any time for this ;-)
<K-ballo>
what's the weird rule?
<gnikunj[m]>
hkaiser : that certainly sounds true. Sanjay wants me to work on compiler transformations to ease certain code rewrites. And... I have no experience writing compilers :D
<hkaiser>
will be a good experience
<gnikunj[m]>
K-ballo : US doesn't want people from Europe to travel to US. So any travels through Europe is a direct deport at US soil. This is obviously exempted for US citizens (which I am not).
<gnikunj[m]>
hkaiser : definitely! Wrapping my head around compilers these days. I did read through gcc code back during gsoc time. But I never read front end code back then.
<K-ballo>
"obviously", to some degree of obviousness
<hkaiser>
don't look at gcc, use clang - much cleaner code base
