Hello everyone
<tiagofg[m]>
hkaiser: can you take a look on #4956 issue? I thing there is a problem. I'm insisting in using derived class components, should I follow your tips and embed the others classes as members and not using inheritance? Since this doesn't work very well
<K-ballo>
"insisting" ?
<K-ballo>
sounds like undefined behavior.. some cast that should be static but is reinterpret (or equally a bad cast path via voids)

my framework must follow a certain structure, and I need to use components that are derived from others components, but I have some problems like #4956 issue. As Kaiser already said, it's better embed that classes, should I forget using derived components? That is my question. K-ballo: I don't understant very well what you're meaning
<K-ballo>
I'm saying it looks like a genuine hpx bug
<K-ballo>
tiagofg[m]: do you gain anything from using inheritance rather than composition?
<tiagofg[m]>
hummm
<tiagofg[m]>
K-ballo: Actually I don't thing so, but what I pretend is to follow a structure that is already developed in c++, I'm improving that code with hpx

K-ballo: and I think that is an important feature which hpx could keep
<K-ballo>
I don't necessarily agree on that, but it's a bug and ought to be fixed
<tiagofg[m]>
K-ballo: thanks for the support, do you think I can wait for that fix or will it take some time?
<K-ballo>
no idea, that's for hkaiser (or others) to say
<hkaiser>
tiagofg[m]: sorry, I have not looked yet
<tiagofg[m]>
hkaiser: no problem
