15:24 <zao> Regardless of which project you're interested in, we tend to recommend newcomers to try to build HPX, try out the examples, get a feeling for how it works.

15:26 <iti_> Sure, I have good experience with C and C++ and STL of course. Last year I did GSoC with apertus association successfully and completed my project which was in C source code. This summer however I was looking for something different to work on :) And this project caught my attention.

15:28 <iti_> I'll start with building HPX, and if stuck will come back here ^_^

15:28 <zao> Sounds great. If you're not familiar with async C++ programming, particularly futures, those are probably a good idea to read up on as HPX follows the standard proposals for them rather closely.

15:29 <zao> There might be some decent video presentations of HPX over the years too if that's your cup of tea :)
