<simbergm>
hey hkaiser, more or less ready to make the release, only missing the tag and publishing posts on the blog
<hkaiser>
simbergm: marvelous! thanks for all your work!
<simbergm>
anything you know of that should stop me from doing that?
<hkaiser>
it wouldn't have happened without you putting in time
<simbergm>
I'd just need one of you to copy over the posts to stellar.cct.lsu.edu since my account over there didn't quite work out...
<hkaiser>
simbergm: I can do that, but only later tonight - travelling all day
<simbergm>
you're probably busy at sc now so we can schedule the posts for later as well
<simbergm>
right, that's perfectly ok
<hkaiser>
simbergm: you cut down the README nicely!
<jbjnr__>
simbergm: I forgot to turn off debug info in the guided exec test and didn't sync the example version of the scheduler with the main one.
<jbjnr__>
minor stuff.
<simbergm>
hmm, I can still update that
<hkaiser>
simbergm: we should use 10.5281/zenodo.598202 as the DOI, it will always refer to the latest version
<simbergm>
hkaiser: thanks, that's a good one, will update
<jbjnr__>
ok. ignore me, I didn't commit the debug changes, so all is fine.
<simbergm>
hkaiser: but then I'll do the release still today once I've update those small things, send the emails, update stellar-group.org; the rest can trickle out during the week
<simbergm>
jbjnr__: yeah, I think the schedulers are the same as well
<hkaiser>
simbergm: sure, no rush
<hkaiser>
I can do the post on isocpp.org
<simbergm>
the example scheduler already had lp stealing
<hkaiser>
have an account there...
<simbergm>
hkaiser: thanks
<simbergm>
I'll create a reddit account this time :)
<hkaiser>
heh
<simbergm>
if diehlpk is around he can maybe talk to the heise online people
<ste||ar-github>
hpx/release a40fc75 Mikael Simberg: Update Zenodo DOI to point to latest version...
ste||ar-github has left #ste||ar [#ste||ar]
<jbjnr__>
(simbergm: the lp stealing was supposed to be disabled (#ifdef'ed out), but it was removed during the creation of spearate branches from the scheduling/guided exec stuff)
<simbergm>
I'll be posting links on slack and sending the email out soon, let me know if you find typos, broken links etc.
<simbergm>
thank you everyone once again for making an awesome release!
<simbergm>
K-ballo: go wild on master ;)
<hkaiser>
simbergm: yay!
<hkaiser>
pizza and beer!
<simbergm>
I'm making pizza for dinner ;)

btw, I am currently speaking to packet.net. They are willing to offer us some of their compute resources (including cavium thunderx machines): https://www.packet.com/cloud/servers/
<heller_>
My hope is to be able to replace our circle setup with the resource there ...
