<zao> mreese3: There's a commit 16 days ago "Making BlazeTensor mandatory" btw.
<mreese3> Okay, yeah, I'm sure that's it. Thanks!
<zao> So yeah, you need to provide it from outside :)

<mreese3> So can BlazeTensor be installed with the blaze_DIR pointing to a vcpkg install?
<hkaiser> mreese3: it depends on blaze master (well, currently on a particular commit)
<mreese3> Okay, so I have to build it manually?
<hkaiser> mreese3: see here for details
<hkaiser> things are in heavy flux, currently - will consolidate next week
<hkaiser> mreese3: building blaze is not a problem, its header only
<hkaiser> just check it out and run cmake
<mreese3> Okay, thanks!
<mreese3> Okay, so now I'm getting this error building blaze_tensor
<mreese3> Could not find a configuration file for package "blaze" that is compatible
<mreese3> with requested version ""
<mreese3> I guess that's either a commandline option that needs to be passed, or there's something wrong in a cmake file somewhere

<K-ballo> bita: not much.. I ran into it only once, did not leave a lasting impression
<bita> Thanks K-ballo
<K-ballo> bita: what do _you_ think of scala?
<bita> I don't know much about scala, I was reading papers related to Spark and I found out it is implemented in scala and added something to the old MapReduce structure of parallelism.I liked to know whether it is a designated parallel language that is efficient or not
<bita> I think I the answer is no, because the same group that made spark move to use C++ and are developing Ray using MPI
<bita> Adrian suggested that you are the programming linguistic :D and might have exciting insights
<bita> K-ballo, why do you think it does not worth of attention?
<K-ballo> it's a JVM based language
<bita> Okay :)
<K-ballo> to be fair, so it's Kotlin and it's a fairly decent language
<bita> uhum
