<jbjnr_>
I've just noticed that the lazy thread init stuff was merged.
<jbjnr_>
Is that safe?
<simbergm>
jbjnr_ I think we're finding out...
<simbergm>
hkaiser thanks for the context fix
<simbergm>
We have too many configurations...
<jbjnr_>
too many configurations?
<jbjnr_>
it's just that with the lazy init, we also need the stack reuse to be cleaned up
<simbergm>
I was referring to the context fixes
<simbergm>
Too many untested configurations is maybe more accurate
<simbergm>
I think we're good with the lazy init for now
<simbergm>
It's not worse than before that is
<simbergm>
But yes, stack reuse could still be improved
<jbjnr_>
heller: did you get the email from Rold about HPX course at HLRS
<jbjnr_>
Rolf^
<jbjnr_>
Are you interested?
<jbjnr_>
I am available at that time, so i thnik I can do it, and possibly Mikael, but what about you?
<heller>
Hey
<heller>
I might be able to do it
<heller>
If push comes to shove, I'll just take a vacation
<heller>
Let's do it!
<heller>
jbjnr_: do you want to significantly change our material?
<jbjnr_>
it needs updating, but the general outline of what we discuss can probably stay the same. simbergm has lots of nice hands on examples that he prepared for a course here so that is one difference
<chybz>
I recently switched to HPX and would like to initialize the HPX runtime from a specific function inside a library and not resort to main/hpx_main. Is it supported to call hpx::start(nullptr, ...) in such a way ?
<K-ballo>
yes, main/hpx_main is just a convenience
