<dkaratza[m]> > I will add tests for free functions tommorrow
<dkaratza[m]> Is it an example or is it new functionality?
<john98zakaria[m]> <dkaratza[m]> "> <@john98zakaria:matrix.org..." <- This is an example for existing undocumented functionality.
<john98zakaria[m]> And on the way we discovered that we don't have any free function serialization tests
<john98zakaria[m]> So I wanted to write tests for them as well
<dkaratza[m]> > <@john98zakaria:matrix.org> This is an example for existing undocumented functionality.... (full message at https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/r0/download/libera.chat/1bd9c772c878862e4684f638816a408705b33fb8)
<dkaratza[m]> if you do so, don't forget to include your file here as well https://github.com/STEllAR-GROUP/hpx/blob/master/docs/sphinx/examples.rst

<diehlpk_work> hkaiser, gonidelis[m] Is hpx::chrono broken?
<diehlpk_work> I get error: 'chrono' in namespace 'hpx' does not name a type
<diehlpk_work> 49 | hpx::chrono::high_resolution_timer timer_;
<hkaiser> diehlpk_work: not that I would know - do you miss an #include
<hkaiser> ?
<diehlpk_work> I use #include <hpx/local/chrono.hpp>
<diehlpk_work> That should be correct or?
<hkaiser> yes
<hkaiser> is it #included before you use it?
<diehlpk_work> hkaiser, Yes, it is included
<hkaiser> well, then I would like to see the code that is failing to compile
<K-ballo> why line 10 commented out?
<hkaiser> that file does not #include <hpx/local/chrono.hpp>
<hkaiser> also, is #include <hpx/timing.hpp> a thing?
<diehlpk_work> Dominc added chrono.hpp to that file and used line 10 and he still gets the error
<hkaiser> well, no idea what he is doing
<hkaiser> either include #include <hpx/timing/high_resolution_timer.hpp> or <hpx/chrono.hpp>
