<nikunj>
noob question: I'm starting full time on Visual Studio and I found vcpkg package manager. Is it a good idea to use that rather than configuring VS for every project?
<nikunj>
or is there any other elegant way of doing so?

nikunj97: I believe hkaiser is a big fan of using vcpkg on Windows for HPX instead of trying to provide the right libraries yourself.
<zao>
I don't like it :D
<nikunj97>
zao: how do you work with different libraries then?
<nikunj97>
by providing include paths?
<zao>
For HPX? Providing the location of an installed build of the library via CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or things like BOOST_ROOT.
<zao>
I used to have installed variants of libraries with different build settings and toolchains.
<nikunj97>
ok. btw, is HPX available as vcpkg?
<zao>
No idea.
<nikunj97>
I'll give vcpkg a try and see for myself if I find it useful
<nikunj97>
thanks for the help!
