<diehlpk_work>
lsl88, What was your experience compiling HPX and running the examples?
<lsl88>
diehlpk_work: hi!
<diehlpk_work>
jbjnr_, Where can one find the latest version of your libfabric branch, we used for the SC paper?
<diehlpk_work>
In two weeks we should get some response for the SC 19 paper and the panel
<lsl88>
after struggling a little, I had it working the other day and I am taking a look at the examples
<lsl88>
yes, I know
<zao>
Yorlik: I had to stop using WSL for my EasyBuild work, it was just not possible to be sure if it was software or the system that was buggy.
<zao>
Things like Tcl hung its test suite for no good reason on some networking.
<lsl88>
diehlpk_work: what do you think about exploring HPX this week and keeping next week for developing something concrete for GSOD?
<diehlpk_work>
Sounds perfect
<diehlpk_work>
I will be traveling next week and not around in irc often, but parsa and simberg are around
<parsa>
sure
<lsl88>
is it OK for you telling me your timezones? So that I can adapt mine's to yours
<diehlpk_work>
parsa and I are in CST
<Yorlik>
zao: I decided to move to a proper VM (Debian 10 on MS HyperV). However: hwloc had issues building there too (using vcpkg)
<diehlpk_work>
simbergm, is in (GMT+2)
<diehlpk_work>
next week I will be in Pacific Time Zone
<simbergm>
lsl88: I'm in europe
<simbergm>
what diehlpk_work said :)
<lsl88>
oh, so I'm in the middle
<lsl88>
GMT -3
<diehlpk_work>
lsl88, If you work with parsa and simberg on your proposal next week everything will be fine. I do not need to be involved much next week
<lsl88>
ok, then we could start thinking of something maybe on Monday? I would like to play with HPX these days
<lsl88>
I will be on IRC all the same, and ask for help when being stuck
<lsl88>
WDYT?
<simbergm>
lsl88: yep, go for it, playing around with hpx definitely doesn't hurt and I'll be around most of next week
<diehlpk_work>
June 28, 2019 at 18:00 UTC
<diehlpk_work>
So the deadline is far away
<lsl88>
yes, I was looking at the calendar
<lsl88>
I can play with HPX up to Sunday, and we have all next week for the project itself, and the other week just as backup days, I'd better send my application with plenty of time
