<HHN93> what's the difference between /home and /work in rostam?
<HHN93> is it just 2 different directories or is there any difference in permissions?

<HHN93> How do I benchmark different versions of HPX?
<HHN93> build and install and bench marking is rather long process
<HHN93> is there some simpler method which we use?

<gonidelis[m]> 1. skipp install imo
<gonidelis[m]> if you jsut build, then you can link hpx to your application by passing -HPX_DIR=<your_path_to_build_dir>/lib/cmake/HPX (make sure you have not `make install`ed in this dir though!
<gonidelis[m]> 2. if you work just with local hpx, disable distributed runtime -DHPX_WITH_NETWORKING=OFF -DHPX_WITH_DISTRIBUTED_RUNTIME=OFF -DHPX_WITH_LOGGING=OFF when building HPX (it is my impression that you might need those for hpxMP though, not sure ask Rod)
<gonidelis[m]> 3. keep different build dirs for different uses. for examples keep a release_build, a debug_build, a patch_build etc...
<gonidelis[m]> also do skip building the examples if you do not need them:)
