<Yorlik> hkaiser: YT?
<hkaiser> Yorlik: sorry - here now
<Yorlik> Hello!
<hkaiser> hey
<Yorlik> How's it going?
<Yorlik> I hope HPX moving forward?
<hkaiser> can't complain enough... ;-)
<Yorlik> I was running inbto the Boost compatibility issue again.
<hkaiser> grrrr
<Yorlik> And there is a weird output
<Yorlik> Like "Your Boost version is and HPX is. With no versions given
<Yorlik> Just empty strings
<hkaiser> interesting, never seen this before
<Yorlik> Sounds like a bug in the build scripts to me
<Yorlik> I was running a completely clean build
<hkaiser> how can I help debugging this?
<Yorlik> No Boost versions pinned anywhere in my build scripots
<Yorlik> I hve no idea tbh.
<Yorlik> I have a feeling it is in the depths of vcpkg somewhere.
<hkaiser> could be, yes
<Yorlik> I was using a custom registry in addition to the default one.
<Yorlik> But I was using Boost and HPX from the default registry
<Yorlik> I think it might be something using different vcpkg versions at the same time - still investigationg.
<Yorlik> Because you have to provide vcpkg commit hashes in some configs files.
<Yorlik> I guess there is a possibility to crate mismatches.
<Yorlik> I'll dig deeper - it's weird.
<hkaiser> Yorlik: ok - sorry I'm not of any help
<Yorlik> hkaiser: Whats the current development in HPX land?

<pansysk75[m]> Why is it important that the chunk size is a power of 2?
<pansysk75[m]> This can produce a number of chunks that is not a multiple of available cores, and thus lead to starvation.
<pansysk75[m]> Up to ~30% variation in load from one core to the next in the worst case, if my calculations are correct
